Hi all

Sony 49" 4K Ultra HD LED Smart TV - Black | KD49XE8005BU
Voice Remote Control: RMF-TX300E

A recent software on the TV and coincidentally or not, the remote won't power on the TV in the morning (after those hours of inactivity). New batteries; Remote works once the TV is unplugged, plugged in and the TV power button is pressed (from what I recall).

Timer etc. is off.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated!

I'd suggest that you try to reset the TV to factory settings. Maybe that's just a software glitch after the update. Here are the reset steps: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00114591
