Hi @St.Valentine

All we can suggest is installing the Sony Support App so you can get an alert when it is released. Sony don’t normally advertise release dates. You could try calling Sony Support but I doubt if they will enlighten you.

If your TV is working ok DON'T DO IT !!! Chances are it will have bugs as new firmware is only tested on new TVs and yours will stop working properly, will have the reboot issues or flashing red light soon after the upgrade. What's worse you won't be able to downgrade back to a fully working version and will end up buying a new TV.

Maybe that is Sony's plan all along, stuff the firmware updates to sell more TVs. 🙄

Do not know what in any case is missing... Asia pacific last version is 5.435 https://www.sony.co.th/en/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-w75xc_w80xc-series/kdl-55w800c/downloads/00016183 while UK last version is 5.435! https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-w75xc_w80xc-series/kdl-55w805c/downloads/00016208

Someone may be able to confirm but I believe that newer firmware versions may have tighter tolerance for backlight LED voltage leading to the 6 red flashes issue or else new checks were introduced from 2017 firmware upgrades onwards that did not exist in older firmware.
