How do you power off this tv, I don’t mean put on standby with the red led illuminated but completely shut down other than switching off the wall power socket.

OLED tv should never be powered off completely. Ever. And there is no option for it.

BTW there is no red led when the tv is in standby unless you are recording.

Thanks, I have been powering off using the handset .. the screen goes blank and a little red led comes on at the bottom of the tv.

That's the right thing to do in order for the tv to refresh the panel when needed to avoid retension (you can obviously unplug the tv if you plan to stay away for some days).

The main led is never on when in standby, your tv has a smaller orange led indicator for the google assistant microphone on the tv itself. Maybe it is this one that is on
