I have a Sony Bravia Z9J 85 inch TV. Could someone please tell me which hdmi port and what hdmi port settings will help me achieve 8k upscaling of movies. I am unsure as to whether this is done automatically or I need to set it up.

Hi @stuartves

It is a 8K panel, so everything will be upscaled to 8K automatically. Make sure that you have set the input ports to Enhanced if you are viewing in HDR. Note the picture quality will only be as good as the source you are viewing from. You will only get true 8K if you are viewing from a 8K source.

Hey @stuartves you can as well follow the guidelines provided by Sony here on how to view 8K. HDMI port number is the only port that supports 8K on the TV as explained here.

You will have to set it the HDMI signal format for the HDMI 4 port to Enhanced format (4K120, 8K) and use a 48Gbps Ultra High-Speed HDMI cable.
