Dark ambient display

I recently downloaded and installed a software update. Before installing the ambient display was bright and clear to see but after the installation it got very dark. I can't find any setting to change the brightness. Help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Edit: forgot to mention that I am using an xperia xz3.

hello @gukki

try to check your display settings, and turn off adaptive brightness and manually adjust the brightness accordingly.

Settings>Display>Adaptive Brightness
