Bluetooth Bug in Live with Walkman

Hello guys,

I found a bug in ICS version .587. When ever I turn my bluetooth on using a third party file manager (astro, File Manager etc) the phone enters into a continuos boot loop. Does any one else also face similar issue? I am fed up of repairing my software. Actually this is 3rd time I am repairing the software.

Right now only one solution. Before sending any file I power on the bluetooth using the widget. Then I use file manager to send the file. It seems the issue arises only while powering up the bluetooth.

since repairing my phone.... i hv left Bluetooth on... it takes just 3 to 4 % of battery on full charge.

The best you could do is move to a custom firmware based on the stock .587 firmware. Search XDA and you will find some good modded stock firmwares. The best part is you do not require to unlock your bootloader and hence the warranty(if you have) can be preserved.

how can you repair your software? My phone constantly reboots and I can't connect to the sony pc companion when your cellphone is off. I really need your help guys.

First remove your battery and keep the mobile off. Insert the battery again but do not turn on the phone.

Then download and install "Sony Update Service" from and here install it on your PC. After that start the Update service, then select the model and then follow on screen options. please see that you do not turn on your phone. Update service will install/repair the phone software.

It did solve the issue but then as time goes by the problem does arise again. Some users have decided to keep their Bluetooth on always while some people like me have moved to other stock based custom ROM's which are superior to the Sony provided ROM.

hey guys.. i am facing the same problem out here.. i read your blog and found it really helpful but the problem is SUS which is not available for download at the moment. i would be really grateful if you guys could help me out with a link for download as i heard that it still works fine..
