Question About Filter Search in Xperia C

Ok, I basically have Xperia C but couldnt find that in the list above.

Heres my question:

I have exchange Active sync with my office mail server. Now this means when I search contacts in my phone, it also searches the contacts on my active sync and not just the local contacts of the phone. This makes search slow and sometimes I have to wait quite a few seconds before the searched contact can be shown.

For example if I search for Alan, it looks for this not only in my local but also on active sync server. Even though for a little brief it shows Alan but then a preloader appears and it keeps searching on remote server and then after quite a few seconds shows the contact.

I want to get rid of this and I do not want my phone to search contacts on the active sync but only in my local.

I tried selecting the option, "Contacts with phone numbers" but that wont help in my case as all the contacts on the active sync will also have phone numbers in them.

Please help.

I can't figure out a way to do so, you might need to download a different phonebook app

I am also facing the same issue, when I search for the contact it shows it quickly but then again goes away and it again searches and shows the same contact, not sure what's going wrong. I tried ticking all the filter options but still doesn't work. I am not sure why it is happening, my active sync is off.
