One think you can do before you get a new SIM card is to restart your phone on safemode and check again

My Xperia Z1 was working fine until a couple of days ago when i decided to use my sim in my iphone for a couple of days, when i went to put the sim back in Z1, i cant get any service at all. I have tried factory reset, update software, the whole lot! The sim still works fine in my iphone. Has anyone had this issue before? took phone to retailer who said they will send it off and it will take 15-25 days.. hoping theres a quick fix before i do hand it in because i really love this phone.

Nano and Micro SIM cards are NOT the same, you should get a brand new micro SIM card and check again

@ Dkxburrell

iPhones > NANO Sim
Sony Xperias > MICRO Sim

Your sim card must be not in the right tray position. Remove it and insert back again. Make sure it's in the right position. But I think you better ask for a new Micro sim card that does suit for your Xperia Z1. It's hardly to insert the Nano sim card in the right position on Macro sim phones.

P.S. Ex-iPhones user.
