I've had my Xperia Z1 for over a year, fantastic phone, no problems at all. I broke the screen on it a short while ago and just replaced the screen yesterday. When i plug the phone on in to a charger the Sony logo comes up and it goes to the battery charging screen for a few seconds then goes off. The red reset button works but only when the phone is plugged in and then it just shows the Sony logo and the battery screen. I have tried volumer + and power button, volume - and power button and none of it is working. It is at full charge and if i leave it plugged in it will have the usual green led. What do i do

Thanks for replying, it worked and i managed to reinstall everything. But now i think the actual problem was the on button is bust becuase i could use the phone and turn the volume down, but i couldnt turn it up or lock the phone,

Hi Africa,

Are you trying to perform the repair with the device turned on or are you having the same issue of the device not powering on?
