Connect your charger however you may have had an app running in the background which could account for this

I've seen that behavior before, it has happened to me, restart the phone and check again, perhaps an app was acting up, 2/3 of the times it has happened to me, it was a game or an app acting up and once I restarted the phone the battery was back to its original %, the other 1/3 it was a huge drop, but it makes sense because I was syncing a lot of data and playing games.

Do you have any anti-virus installed?
I had McAfee installed and stamina mode turned on. When the screen was turned off, battery drained phenomenally.

There is a battery drain problem common to android, where mediaserver is acting up.I did not know this before,I first encountered this now with Sony Z Ultra. The battery gets from 100% to 0% in 5 hours, regardless of use.Check application use by long pressing the Stamina icon in settings.Mine shows "Mediaserver 40%" and "Downloads 38%". If that is the case with yours, google "mediaserver battery drain" for possible fixes

STAMINA Mode

Lollipop issue. Stamina mode doesn't help at all. The battery life even lasts longer without stamina mode. And for the Ultra stamina mode, it made no difference to me activated or disabled. Its Even worse because whenever i try to open a message, the application suddenly closes. I don't see the purpose of these battery saving modes. Pls fix these soon Sony. Thank u
