Update Vanished after downloading

Checking for system update on the phone showed an update build no. 23.1.A.0.690 which apparently is Android Lollipop was available via PC Companion only. So I conected via PC and followed the instructions. It took a while to download the Android L update and message prompted that the device will turn off. The device then turned off and the message on the PC Companion said that there was no updates available.

Now even my PC Companion says I'm running the latest version which is Kitkat. I tried checking for an update over phone. It says I've got the latest version. What did I miss here? Anyone faced the same problem. Or is it that Sony withdrew the update?

Are you certain the update notification on your computer wasn't to update PC Companion?

Yes. I'm sure. I even did see lollipop screenshots on the system update page.

That's random, what if you restart both the phone and computer?

This is so weird... First of all the download is too slow and it took me 3 hrs to complete the download and then after connecting the phone it is saying that you're updated...

Is this some kind of a joke..
What kind of support is this where no representative is replying to the questions.

I think its better to update it manually than waiting for this drama to complete..

I got a notification yeasterday that the official lollipop update is available for download in India. The update center showed a system update available and further checked it was lollipop. It said that a PC is needed for an update. I connected it to my PC the PC companion lauches it checks for avalable update and it said your phone is updated. I checked the update center of my phone the update simply vanished.

When I looked for the update yesterday it was there. Unfortunately, you need to update your computer. I've now switched on and then tried to update the Xperia Z2. now the update is no longer there. what's going on there? When it's available?

My Xperia Z2 showed gave a notification of lollipop update. When i connect the phone to pc companion, the update disappears and showa that ur phone is updated with the latest version even though its just 4.4.4. Kindly advice

try reinstalling your pc companion, reset your phone and PC, connect your phone in airplane mode

Did the update centre app say you had an update or Pc Companion?

It's your internet provider who has not pass the software.
