screen going off during a call.. xperia z

Just a little annoying niggle , does anyone else have the same problem as me, during a call and when the screen goes off the phone locks you can't open it by just touching the screen you have to use the power button then unlock the screen, am running Android 4.4.4 is this normal.

Absolutely not no not at all the clamps of the case just reach the outer bezel of the phone.

Try repairing it with Sony PC Companion.
