So I woke up this morning and my 14 month oldish xperia m displays loads of 'unfortunately (every single process) has stopped working'. So i try to fix this but can't even enter any other screen due to the amount of messages constantly appearing. So i turn my phone on and off a few times and it goes into encryption mode for no reason at all. I never set a password because i never encrypted my phone so it's pretty much bricked on me. So then i try to enter recovery mode via the buttons but this doesn't work and my phone for some reason is unable to connect to my computer via USB. It just says theres a communication error and doesn't even show up in my computer. I don't know what to do and taking it to the phone shop will cost a lot of money for a phone I'm looking to replace within a year. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

There is no recovery mode on Xperia devices

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

I try to use PC Companion but as soon as the reset process starts it just tells me there is a device update error. When i click on retry it says unable to download your device software. If you click on close another window appears and says that Error 100 occured and tells me to check my internet connection eventhough it is fine,
