google services problem after lollipop update

I updated my phone to android lollipop today. It seemed fine until it told me to update google services or it won't run, I checked and it seems up to date. I tried restarting my phone but the message won't go away and there is no way for me to update. Anyone has an idea how to solve it?

Hi,

Could you try to update/install Google Play services from play.google.com?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms&hl=en

Login with your Google account that you have on your phone > Press "Install" > Choose your device > Install.

Settings > apps > all > playstore > clear data > uninstall updates > restart the phone > check again.
