im using sony xperia xz and i really like this phone, specially the home screen button, a month ago or alittle before that "before the last android update" when you hold the home screen button you get to do many things ,one of them is the option to tap a text on your screen and be able to copy it, its very useful when trying to read forigen languages, but now after the update, when you hold the home screen button google assistant starts, which is pretty useless btw, wish i can get to the old homesvreenh button, is there a way i can do that? thank you

You will need to use a different home launcher

If you want to use Sony's home launcher you will have to

long press the home button > google assistant will launch > tap on the bottom left icon (box) > tap on the top right icon > menu > settings > phone > Google Assistant > off
