Back button not working

🙁 Hello, can someone please help me to fix my 'back button' on my z3 compact. It stopped working yesterday but the 'home and square button' still work.

At the moment I've got my mobile in 'glove mode' but even that is not working correctly.

Any help at all would be great.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue, try this

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test touchscreen and report back.

Hi the test touch screen works but it's still not solved my 'back button' problem. See image attachment for my explanation. Thanks

Then it is a hardware issue, contact your Local support to get it inspected.

Hi Kenyoninho and uliwooly, I have the same issue. I do not think that it is a hardware issue, since: 1. The respective part of the touchscreen works flawlessly in other applications and in the lock screen. 2. I had similar issue with the notification bar / pull down menu. It stopped working for several months but then started working again after some update. There are many, many users with the same issue: /t5/Xperia-Z3-Compact/Z3-compact-back-and-home-button-not-working-after-recent-update/td-p/1084188/page/13 I will contact the Sony support on this issue. Please share your experience here if you have already done so. Best, polodipolo

Simple fix. Go to google play and download back button app. No root. It works. Sony support staff waste of time.

Z3 Unhappy: Worked for me, thanks very much! Fully recommended! No help from Sony ( of course ).
