My sony Xperia C4 which is less than a year old has the no service problems, I have tried everything from using sony xperia companion, changing the sim card, having it being checked for antenna problem/breaks to factory reset but the network keeps on going off. I am so disapointed. Do you have a return policy for the handset bought through online platform like Jumia?

Hi @karimwael17, sorry to hear about this.

Are the SIM cards you have tried from the same operator or are they from different ones? If you haven't tried with a SIM card from a different operator, I would recommend doing so.

You can also try and register manually on your operators network if you go to Settings > More > Mobile networks > Network operators.

If there has been no change after trying the above, try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data stored on the internal storage of the device and reinstall the latest available software, so it is a bit different from a factory reset. Since data is being removed, it is advised that you create a backup using Xperia Companion before you start with the repair.

Let me know how it goes!

I suggest you to go settings > more > mobile networks > preferred networks type.. Change it to "GSM only"... The LTE was decreasing my mobile's signal and if this problem fixed then that means your network providers are not ready for LTE.

You can do so if you go to Settings > More > Mobile networks > Network operators. Wait for the search to be completed and tap on the network with a house icon to the left.

When the device was at service, was it at an authorized service centre?

Keep me posted!

If it has only occurred with your current service provider and one of your friends, colleagues or family members have a device with a Nano SIM card from a different operator, could you please try with their SIM card in your device and see if there is any change?

Keep me posted!

Hi @Mangara, sorry to hear about this.

I'm not familiar with the Jumia platform, but I work Globally so it may be a service limited to specific markets and that is the reason to why I haven't heard about it. I would recommend that you either get in touch with Jumia directly and ask them about their return policy, or your Local support team.

I hope that helps!
