The volume rocker is made out of plastic. The frame and on/off key is made out of aluminum.

The docking station to use for Xperia Z1 Compact is DK32.

I would like to know the following:

- Is it possible to use the microUSB port WHILE the phone is charging with the dock DK32?

I want to know this, because I use my current Acro S plugged to the TV a lot, and the HDMI port can be accessed while docked. Also the microUSB serves for USB OTG and MHL... and having those features while connected to a TV is a big plus, since it turns the phone more like a computer...

- Is this phone compatible with PS Controllers?

- Is there support for .srt or other subtitle files in the Movies app (current version of my Acro S does not support subtitle)?

- Does the Z1 also brings the nice Anti-Shatter film on the screen (and on the back)?

Great post Johan, I know there are certain aspects that Sony won't reveal but

Are both pannels made of the same glass?
Is it tempered glass or dragontrail or gorilla glass (1, 2 ,3)?
Does it has an ASF (anti-shatter film)?
If yes to ASF, is it the same film as the Z1, Z, etc or is it scratch resistant?

Hi,

All the previews mentioned QI wireless charging, but it isn't on the product specs - does it support wireless charging?

If not, will an official magnetic charge cable be included in the box or available seperately? (without having to buy and dismantle the dock as people have done for the z1).

How hot does this device get in related to Z1 in normal usage?

Is there a way to set the max cpu freq.? (so one can avoid it getting too hot, while just browsing for example)

Are the cover glasses made from the same material as for the Z1?

Phones will get hot, the more you do with the phone the hotter and faster it will get, the heavier the app /game etc the hotter and faster it will get, that goes for background apps and network coverage, its normal. As for the other question you will have to root your phone and overclock the CPUs but this is not recommended, you might burn it down

If you install the phone in a magnetic charging dock DK32, the magnetometer in this phone will transmit false testimony?
If Yes, this will be one-time errors or magnetometer will be deteriorated with time?

It not that the phone shuts down the USB-port while charging via the magnetic connector. Its just that you cant connect the USB cable while docked because it wont fit.

We can't put everything that can't be done in the users guide.

Yes the magnetometer will give you other values while docked. So I don't suggest using any function related to the magnetometer while docked.

Now regarding my question about Docking + microUSB use...

Would an "L" shape USB cable for USB Host or an "L" shape MHL cable would be enough to be able to plug it while charging...

I know the solution would be to raise the dock on top of a book or something but, as it is, how much is the clearance between the microUSB port and the surface underneath?
