error 88001003 remote play

hi,

i have a ps4 v2.0 and my xperia z3.

the playstation app work great and i can connect to psn but when i click on the remote play button, remote play app opening with this message : error 88001003.

I can't play on my z3...

any idea?

This will happen if you have rooted your device or unlocked the bootloader or simply modified it in some way

my phone is not rooted and the bootloader is locked.

I have the exact same problem. I'm using a z3 tablet compact (really nice) and when I use remote play I get error code 88001003.

I contacted the support that thommo (thanks) recommended and I got absolutely nowhere. I've posted the correspondence below. Maybe it's just me but I got the impression he didn't have a clue how to help, wasn't interested and couldn't wait to end the chat.

Scott: It may be the case you need to clear the cache and clear the data of the application.
Scott: To do this go to Settings>Apps>All>Name of app>Clear cache and clear data.

Lea: Nope no joy
Scott: I'd recommend that you try repairing the software on your handset to see if this helps. Do you have PC Companion installed on your PC?

Oh, just to clarify, tablet is not rooted or bootloader unlocked.

i have resolved my problem.

Before my z3, i had a z1 rooted.

I have transfered all my apps to the z3 in particular super su.

my z3 isn't rooted but super su was installed ! and it's him who caused the error 88001003.

i have desinstaled supersu and now remote play work great !

Not rooted or unlocked, but I did have Superuser installed. Uninstalled this and Remote Play now works on my Z3.

I know this was solved but heads up so far I havent heard of any z3 that can be rooted or bootloader unlocked. Infact Verizon has had the z3v made to not be unlockable. I have read all mobile companies have an unlockable version unless you bought direct from Playstation. The z3v is also a z2 shell with z3 guts!!!

The Z3 can be rooted and Sony have even put a video out which is a step by step guide to unlock the boot loader

Hola amigo no hablo mucho inglés pero tengo que decirte que tengo el problema 88001003, y mi móvil es un moto e claro, le instale un framework de sony y luego fuy a la tienda (Play store) y lo descarge después de eso al abrir la app me puso error 88001003 y por más de 30 buscando la solución encontré que si se desinstala el SuperSu funcionaria, lo desinstale y ahora no abre, se pone la pantalla en negro. Vergas porfavor ayuda

You absolute beauty. First google result. SuperSU was my issue too. Installed it on my z3 but it never worked however I also didnt remove it, and upon upgrading to an xperia XZ1 i had the same error message, tried all sorts, but this instantly solved it. If you can't find this app, look for other super user / root apps.
