Xperia Z5 sound enhancements don't work

I read that the reason xloud has been removed is due to it been part of ClearAudio+ but it doesn't make a difference whether it is on or off.. I have attached a screen recording of my problem, music volume on full, playing a song and toggling ClearAudio+ on/off doesn't do anything and same with dynamic normaliser. Hope this is fixed in next update as volume is pretty low and not really clear.

Have you unlocked the bootloader at all?

Could you test it on safe mode

No I haven't unlocked it and will test in safe mode now

Just tested in safe mode and it's exactly the same. Doesn't make a difference at all.

I can't recreate this with a Z5 and Z5 Premium, you could repair the phone with PCC

software repair

It's still exactly the same could u do a screen record in your Xperia Z5 and play music at full volume and toggle clear audio+ on and off so I can see how it should actually Work? Thanks

You have to contact your Local support since most likely there's something wrong with your device, if you bought this phone new and you never unlocked the bootloader nor rooted the phone, then let them inspect it

Are you streaming your music via bluetooth to an audio device or are you listening throug wired headphones?

If you are steaming on the bluetooth the equalizer won't work, the sound settings only become available if you use analogic connection on the jack output of your phone

Because it means sending my device to SBE Ltd and loosing all data on phone. I've had a bad experience in the past with repairs. My Xperia Z3 had 6-7 repairs and was never reall fixed so I sold it

But as you can see, others can't recreate your issue, so it could be an issue with your device, at the end of the day its up to you if you decide to send it or not, but there's nothing else that can be suggested here.

Any thoughts @alexdon ?

Maybe Sony could look into it.. Could be software related or carrier related (EE)

To test it, you will have to stop by your Local support, if your phone its network branded/SIM locked to a carrier, stopped by their store and test their display phones.

Clear the audio effects app and restarted phone now it seems to make a slight difference when I enable it. Hopefully volume will be increased in an update

You should get it inspected.
