Vaio SVT15 Ultrabook New Battery (VGP-BPS33) Not Charging

Hi All,

I have just purchased a new & genuine Sony battery (VGP-BPS33) for my daughter's Vaio SVT15 Ultrabook.

Unfortunately, the battery does not seem to be charging.

The Laptop detects that battery 'PluggedIn'.

Orange light flashing.

I believe that the battery has a chip inside it & somehow needs to be configured with the Laptop?

All help really appreciated.
