Noise cancelling won't work

Just bought WF 1000xm3 earbuds. I've followed the instruction on the app.

Initially the left ear bud beeped when touch but no voice or change to noise cancelling. Even when removed from the charger , noise cancelling is not on.

Now they dont beep and I'm stuck for what to do.

The Sony website gives no help

Can you please check the settings of the headphones via the headphones connect app?

adaptive sound control - off

ambient sound control - on . At noise cancelling

What else is there to do?

Can you turn on Adaptive Sound Control please and see if NC improves.
