I have this car stereo connected to my iPhone 7 via Bluetooth. All contacts sync no problem but there’s a problem that’s driving me insane.

Whenever I make or receive a call, only the contacts number is displayed, not their name. This makes Bluetooth redundant as I have to look at my phone to see who’s calling! So annoying!!

stereo is updated to latest firmware!

Any help would be gratefully recieved!!!

It is normal due to the absence of the Bluetooth OPP profile (Exchange, decided by the sender, of small amounts of information such as contacts, files, messages between Bluetooth devices).

So it’ll never show the callers name on the Bluetooth stereo in my car?

Different car radio same "problem", I tried to look for a solution for an Italian user but there was nothing to do.

That’s pretty poor on Sony’s behalf then! My iPhone works perfectly when paired with a ford stock radio in my other car (caller name is displayed etc)
