WH-1000XM3 windows 10 advanced setting

When using the WH-1000XM3 connected to my desk pc if I go to headphones properties-advanced the default format is greyed out and set to 2 channel 16 bit 44100hz can this changed somehow or is it limited by the codec between the WH-1000XM3 & PC?. Just wondering as I'm checking out the new Amazon music HD service.

I've just had a look into the Help Guide of the headphone and found a method to connect them to Windows 10, do you do the same steps mentioned here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm3/v1/en/contents/TP0001703071.html ?
