my camera tells me that "information of the computer where the data is to be saved is not set to the device. Connect the computer to the device with a USB cable and set it."

I'ver tried that a dozen times and there is no way that I can see that it can be acheived. Play memories is installed.

Any ideas please? Sony support does not exist.

Hi there,

Can you make sure the camera and computer are connected to the same wireless router. It might be also worth checking that you are using the latest version of PlayMemories Home.

Yes I only have one router (there are no others where I live) and my copy of PlayMemories Home IS the latest.

The real solution that I found was that the camera was set to 'control by smartphone' which blocks all other communications. Other people might like to know that!
