I have recently formatted my hard disk for the above unit and installed XP home.

I have managed to get most of the drivers back to the original with the exception of the screen which I would welcome assistance with.

The main problem I have is that the system is now running extreamly slowly since the install. I have reviewed the support site and it may be that I need to upgrade the BIOS. However, when I have read the instructions on the driver page it says I should create a floppy disk to run the upgrade on reboot. Unfortnately my system does not have a floppy drive, just the CD. I have tried to make a boot disk on a CD but the software just keeps looking for a 3.5" drive.

Can anybody assist me with this problem -please!!!!!

You'll need to either:

1) Buy a Sony FDD
2) Use WinPlash to flash the BIOS (if it's available for this model)
