    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Assuming the fault lies with your existing drive then the replacement one should just go straight in.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would suggest that you purchase the replacement from Sony as a part for your computer. Although this would be more expensive than a generic DWU54A (if you can buy them this way)  it will avoid having to change the matching bezel/ drawer front for your laptop. It may be simple but it probably isn't.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;William&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi, to all Vaio users out there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a PCG-GRT996VP with a DWU54A DVD drive, which sometimes does not work &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sonylatvija.com/html/@28BE23B0C20952FC3409403FD1AA84A7/images/smilies/056.png" alt=":cry:" title=":cry:" /&gt; . So, after a long "Sony support story", I´m thinking of buying a new one. Would a new one work in my Vaio (without any registration or so)?
