I have replaced win8 with win7 as my software(work) will not work with win8 but since installing win7 cannot access wireless anyone any ideas

Hi philbin58mark and welcome.

You are quoting the wrong Vaio model. You are probably quoting the chassis model on the bottom and this can be shared by several models.

To get the correct Windows 7 drivers, you need the correct Vaio model - it will probably start SVE1512G***. Look on the screen surround or the original box.

You will find the Windows 7 drivers (including the Atheros Wireless LAN driver) under the 'Downloads -> Latest Downloads -> Windows 7' tab.

The model is SVE1512M1EW my windows 7 works fine i only need to see if i can get the wireless network working or would i need to download the windows 7 wireless driver.

Have a look in Device Manager.

If the wireless network adapter is not present or does not have a driver installed, then I would download and install the supplied Windows 7 Atheros Driver from here: -

I'm a bit surprised other things are all working without additional drivers and utilities.
