Sony Vaio VPCEB4X0E - Creating Recovery Discs - Freezing

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB4X0E which I purchased brand new a few months ago however it has been in storage as I had another laptop now I first booted it and it was ok however when I try creating Recoverable discs as mentioned in the quick start guide it freezes on burning to disc.

I have updated the dvd-rom driver, recovered it. used high quality discs but no luck.

Just wondered if Sony would provide these discs free of charge.

Hi tajtahir and welcome.

I would speak to Vaio Support to troubleshoot the problem and see what they say.

It can take some time to burn the Recovery Discs. How long did you leave it running?

What did you do when it freezes? Sometimes, it is better to leave it for a while as it will respond in a few minutes or so. Mine took almost an hour, but its worth waiting.
