Black screen

I have VPCM12M1E mini laptop. It have unique problem which I have not seen before. When I start by power buton noting comes up on screen totaly BLACK screen no blue screen but Hard drive led is runing some time and then noting show on screen. I have tried reboot several times but noting comes up anything on the screen. I have tried to take off battary and wait for 30 mint but after that same sitution. I dont know what to do.

Is there any one can know this type of problem and have some solutions so please let me know.

Hi Imran,

Can you shine a torch on the screen when it is starting up. Can you see the desktop faintly? This would mean that the backlight or inverter has failed.

Can you attach an external monitor by the VGA port. Does the desktop show normally on this external monitor? If this monitor is OK then the graphics are OK and there is a screen problem.
