VPCEC2SOE Bluray issue

I have a VPCEC2SOE laptop which I bought 6 months before. Currently I am facing problem in playing bluray discs. It was working fine for couple of bluray discs. Now it stopped working. I tried re installing the windvd but no joy. Can some one help me to fix this issue please.

Does the drive play DVDs and CDs OK?

Are there any yellow ! errors against the drive in Devicce Manager?

What version of WinDVD BD do you have installed?

Thanks for your response. The DVDs and CDs are working fine.

There are no errors against the drive in device manager.

It is WinDVD BD 10.0.5.538

Have you tried other blu-ray discs?

It doesn't sound like there is a magic cure. I think you will need to speak to Vaio support - initially they will ask you to carry out a system recovery back to factory settings and if that does not work, they will probably want to inspect your Vaio to see if a new drive is required.

I would back up your data in case they ask you to do the system recovery.
