Vaio - VPCEB3F4E Wont boot

Blue screen briefly appeared (I was reading not typing) and machine immediately powered off. It will not reboot - no response from the screen - if turned on the power light comes on (but no other response) and after about 30 seconds the fans turn on and the power light goes out

Any advice would be much appreciated THANKS

If there is no response when you try to start except the power light it is going to be difficult to diagnose the problem and the most likely outcome is that a repair will be needed.

Can you see an image on the screen if you shine a torch on it?

Try the following: -

Detatch the power adapter and remove the battery.

Hold the power button down for 30 Seconds.

Reconnect the AC Power (leave the battery out) and try to start the Vaio.

What happens?

Tried this - and very similar happened and it turned the light off 5 seconds or so after the fan kicked in - interstingly there was some faint noises before the fans which were not there before - this machine is 3 months old! Tried contacting Sony support but they have not got back to me at all today
