      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Gordon and welcome to the forum &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sonylatvija.com/html/@3191CA7235A406D833094BA2DD1CF2FF/images/smilies/011.png" alt=":slight_smile:" title=":slight_smile:" /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The usual cause of this is failure of the CMOS battery that powers the real time clock but this is usually a gradual process starting with a regular loss of time followed eventually by a BIOS reset to default time. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this sounds familiar then replacing the CMOS battery may resolve the issue. Otherwise there could possibly be further complications with the battery connections or circuitry.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Either way, with your model, I would imagine that this is a job for the Sony tech guys. &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sonylatvija.com/html/@8A5BDCECEE2E5AB683F2BDAA500F2036/images/smilies/035.png" alt=":slight_frown:" title=":slight_frown:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;EDIT: Just reread your post – can you confirm whether the time is reported incorrectly or the time icon is missing?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
