Hi, I recently updated to 55.0.a.6.56 and have been unable to make or receive phone calls since. I have been able to use 4G and I can send and receive SMS, but just can't make or receive calls. I tried inserting the SIM card into an iPhone I have and was able to make calls so I don't think it's a service problem.
Anyone else having a similar problem?
Would be great is someone can help me with the issue.
Have you tried starting the phone in safe-mode and see if it works then?
Hello Runej,
just tried but no luck.
The second after I press call, it hangs up with a beep sound and wont even dial.
I talked to friends that owns an Xperia 1 and one had the same problem.
Its really inconvenient to carry a smartphone without the function to call.
Try redownloading and installing your networks APN's, or try a factory reset.
Hi, thanks for the advice.
I factory reset the phone and has fixed the problem.
Didn't really want to do it because I'll need to setup everything, but I guess I had no choice. Anyways it did fix it and my phone is functioning as a phone so Including happy.
Again thanks a lot!
I have the same issue.
It becomes impossible to make 4G calls with SIM1 (Since SIM2 is 3G / 2G, there is no problem)
Xperia Z1 series is also experiencing this problem with DualSIM around the July update.
Why is fine that has been done so far regressed with the latest updates?
Please improve...very very very inconvenient
Once I updated I lost reception but it was fine after a restart.
Ok the same problem occurring again. Please update with a fix for this issue please.
I own an Xperia 1 and I am having the same issue, and I crossed out all possibilities which led me to this thread right here.
I rarely make calls so this is hardly inconvenient for me, but is still an annoyance since someone tried to reach me today but couldn't. I can send and receive SMSes and turn on mobile data, so it is definitely not a carrier issue.
I resolved after updating to version 55.0.A.10.23
