Is it possible to set the home screen pane? It seems I can't change it, it always takes me to the left side among the 5 panes. Obviously I'd like to set the middle one as home screen pane.
No, and that's an Android thing, not a Sony thing.
Use a 3rd party launcher from the Play Store, if you want to do that.
