Overheating problem

My phone become overheating a few times now...im only watching youtube...how is that even possible for the phone to overheat and i cant open any apps... everything becomes laggy...does anyone has this same problem?

It's possible for any phone to overheat, although this has been rarely reported on the Xperia 1 (is that your phone?). 

You could try shutting down other running apps when watching YouTube

Try restarting the phone in safe mode and use it for a while to check if same thing happens, it might be some third party app causing it.
