Hello fellow humans,
I've had the Xperia 1 for a week and I've had one issue after another. Maybe I just got a problem phone, but there have been some weird issues I don't understand, like a specific app I use, from Play Store, that doesn't even show up on the list of Apps, never mind install. Makes no sense. And the fingerprint reader stops working everyday, until I reboot. Initial setup is also a painful process, as we can't use the standard transfer options like when I setup my XZ3 12 months ago as it's "not supported" according to Sony. Why are they reverting to Google Drive only for restoring files, as it's terrible for transferring anything reliably. I tried to use the companion via the laptop, but it said it's not compatible with my Xperia1 so can't do that either. It's almost as if it's been designed for a new Sony user, not someone who's had every Sony Flagship phone for a long long time. I really don't want to take it back, but it's just not doing things I need it to do. Hopefully one of you clever people can help, as I do love the 21:9 screen.
If an app is not compatible with your phone, it will of course not be visible at Google Play Store.
Also, transfer from an XZ3 to the Xperia 1 should work like a charm, as it did with my transfer from XZ2 to Xperia 1 via Google. -All messages, call history, images, files, apps, setup, logins, etc will be transferred.
No need to use Xperia Transfer, etc.

Sadly, transfer from xz premium to x1 did not transfered messages... Tried several times with same result. Other data was copied. Google services is crap..
