...but why don't Sony name the file after the firmware update version? Then I formatted an SD card in the A7 IV, took it out, slotted into a card-reader and dragged the 'Bodydata.DAT' file onto it... then via the camera menu system clicked the update, which took just over 4.5 minutes, camera reboots when update complete. Be sure to have 100% batteries. It is in essence, a simple process, but the technical language that Sony use needs 'tweaking' for 100% clarity to all users, and especially those new to the Sony system.
