New Sony A7III not reading any memory cards

Hi,

I just bought a new Sony A7III last month and it doesn't read any memory card in Slot 1 or 2. I read in some forums that this issue is fixed when you update your camera (mine is now 3.10) but it still didn't fix the issue. The memory cards work everywhere but my A7III. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Has the SD card been formatted from your camera and not from a computer?

Hi Odunayo,

I had a similar issue even though I had the most recent firmware at the time. It didn't work with the SanDisk Extreme Pro 128 UHS-II. But it worked with a UHS-1 card which I had. I got a Lexar, and it worked beautifully. I think there was a known issue with SanDisk cards with an older firmware.

Try updating your firmware, and if you're trying with SanDisk, then you might want to test with some other brand. The Sony UHS-I and UHS-II memory cards also worked fine for me.
