Audio Description - how to switch it off!

Assistance please.....My Sony Bravia KD-43XE8005 which I bought just over two years from John Lewis has recently started giving me Audio Descriptions, which I do not want. I have read a lot of the messages here and have tried to switch it off but to no avail. It is becoming annoying and frustrating and from what I can see here many different Sony TV sets seem to have many different configurations?   I am finding it all quite baffling for something that should surely be a basic setting?  The software and firmware (?) are both up to date.  I have been into the settings menu (numerous times) and cannot see an on/off for Audio Descriptions and the one place it is mentioned is set to normal, as recommended in another post.  I have disabled the Auto Service Update and then enabled it again after checking for updates, again as recommended in another post. Our TV services are provided by Virgin Media.  I am in the dark and do not understand much of the 'jargon'.

Can anyone help me please?

Thank you,

John

Thank you for your reply. I always watch through the Virgin Media box.  An external aerial is connected to the TV but not used.  John

Hi @JofnaTV   In which case you need to be talking to Virgin Media as it has nothing to do with your Sony TV 😀 You need to turn off AD on your VM box.

Hi @JofnaTV

Just to be clear, are you getting AD when watching Virgin Media or Terrestrial channels on the TV?
