Cracked LCD

Hi everyone, Last night, a mop handle tapped the screen of my week old Bravia LCD flat screen. The screen itself is intact, but there is clearly some crystal damage as there is no picture on a quarter of the screen. Is it worth getting this repaired, or should I just get a new TV? Does anyone know how much a repair would cost? Thanks!

Sounds like the panel itself is damaged - I would get it checked out by an authorised Sony repair centre (at least for a quote) and take it from there.

If you have home contents insurance, you might be covered for accidental damage?
