I have a Bravia 4K UR2, running the latest software.
When I watch contents on all streaming apps, Prime, Netflix, Disney etc the picture pauses (the sound keeps playing) and resumes playing by itself. It happens randomly and mostly after it's been playing for at least 10-15 mins.
I have tried three different routers, power reset my TV, cleared the cache, data, uninstalled and reinstalled those apps. I have even factory reset my TV and turned options on and off to test.
However, the problem still persists.
The TV is connected via ethernet (although also a problem if connected via Wi-Fi). My network speed is good and I don't have issues with other TVs or TV boxes. So the problem seems to be the Bravia TV itself.
I'm running out of options and having a video pausing randomly out of nowhere when I watch something is annoying - particularly given its a high end Sony TV.
I never had any problem like this on any other brands of TV. This is my first Sony TV. And quite frankly, it's really crappy. Can't stream any videos without the picture freezing.
I've seen previous posts back in 2020 with same problem. I've been putting up with this for a year so thought I'd try this forum.
I have software update set to automatic on the TV and can't see any obvious way to force a software, firmware or android update (all seem to be June 2024).
Can anyone help?
