There's a few articles and threads discussing the deployment of Google TV 10 to various models from 2018-2020 as per this link. Is there an official position on when this will be released to Europe, as it's already released to the US?

Hi @Bydandie
If you want to know the "official position" then you need to ask Sony. This is a community of customers (not Sony)
You can contact Sony Support Consumer Electronics
Please come back and let the community know if you get any answers.

I already asked them and their standard response is they don't have any details and to keep checking their website and turn on 'Check for updates' on the TV.
Why this has to operate like the secret service I don't know. More likely they haven't been briefed - but not unreasonable for customers to want to know.

I think the real reason you don't get a sensible answer is that Sony have no idea.

Someone posted a link on redit to the European firmware for this range: https://tv.update.sony.net/OND/2020/eu/main/PS213615/sony_atvotafull_2018_1606053100_eua_auth.zip
I make no claim to the validity of that link, but the naming convention follows the right format for the current release. So it looks like it's ready. I guess they just need to link it from the website & make the over the air check reference it.

When you download the update, try to use windows. When you use macOS it unpacks the zip file (and the other zip file contained within it which is the one you need on your USB drive) which then means the TV doesn’t know what to do with it 🙈

On osx if you download directly to the usb drive it doesn’t unzip. I have the unzipped and zipped version on my usb drive, but neither start the update…

Have you taken the zip out of the initial zip and put that on the root of the drive? I also had my USB drive formatted as exFAT.

Hi,
Will this be rolled out so that our TVs download and install automatically?
