Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong place... I have just been given a KDL - 32R433B has have plugged my sky Q box into the HDMI 1 port. On the device list it shows up and I have enabled it, but when I select the source it shows as:
HDMI 1/MHL Player 3 (Sky Q) but with no signal. Same if plugged into hdmi 2.
i have reset the tv to factory settings but no luck. Also tried the ‘home 1080 home’ Sequence but again no luck.
help & thanks!!

Hi @Mr_Pablo_1983. Looking at your TV manual the maximum resolution is 720p that can be used with SkyQ. Inputting on the Sky Q remote Home 1 0 8 0 Home will set the Sky Q box to 1080i which your TV doesn’t support. You will have to borrow a HD TV so you can set the Sky Q to 720p.
Sky Q boxes set to a resolution the TV can’t support should revert to one the TV can, so this may not be the issue.
But if it is, try home 720 home, and see if that brings it back.

Hi @royabrown. Sky Q boxes do not change resolution automatically. They did on the old Sky+HD boxes. You have to set it manually. (Sky Q user since 2016)
Note Home 720 Home doesn’t work. I just tried it!
Hi @Mr_Pablo_1983 Sorry, you are correct, I was looking at the PC Input spec. Just checking that you are inputting the Home 1 0 8 0 Home with the Sky Q remote and not the TV remote? Apart from that I am out of ideas ...
Hi @LightFoot
I didn’t say they changed resolution automatically, I said that if you changed it manually to something the TV could not support, it would revert automatically, which is a slightly different thing.
For this information I was relying on the advice Sky provide here.
But if your practical experience finds this to be incorrect (as I don’t personally have a Sky Q box to play with), then please let Sky know, so they can correct this.

Hi @royabrown. Ahh... that information is correct and works because the screen is visible. So if you are on 720p and try to change to 1080i then it will revert automatically. However if the Sky Q box is already set to 1080i (home1080home, engineer short cut to set it as 1080i with no opportunity to confirm) then the screen will not be visible so there is no opportunity to reduce it to 720p. Hence the need to connect a known 1080i TV so you can display the Settings Audio Visual screen to change it to 720p. This is all academic as we have established the TV is capable of 1080i.
