Hello,
me and my family just dug up our old camera video tapes that shows a big part of my childhood. So we wanted to transfer them to my computer in order to save these memories. So I searched around on google and couldn't find anything.
The camera is a Sony Handycam 220x Digital Zoom Video 8 XR and was bought in 1999. It uses black and yellow ports for output but its possible to use RWJ cables on it for some reason. It does NOT use a firewire cable. It also has a "RFU DC out" port too.
So what do I need to buy?
Thank you in advance.
Hi
You need a video editing software program which has a record facility and a USB video converter to capture the video from the tape.
There are many programs available which do want you wish, however there are good and bad USB converters - the type you require also digitises the audio - ie it must not have a pass through connector to use the computer audio card for capturing the audio.
