I have a small or big issue?
I have a HDR PJ 620 which has two issues - problems
1. it does not retain - remember the settings after the battery is dissconnected
2. under the microfon option the settings are greyed out - In fact when I go in camera/mic setting and then into microphone setting. three settings, namely Closer Voice,blt in zoom Mic and Auto Wind NR are grayed out. When you press any one of them, camera says this function currently not available.
for mic issue - same as here only that it does not record anything and the menu is grayed out

i dont use a genuine sony battery.
can i update the firmware ? what to check? any help is more than welcome, thank you all
