Using the FDR-AX53 for Live Streaming connected with USB?

Is there a way to connect this camera to a Windows computer using USB so it behaves like a regular webcam? Yes, I know it's not suggested by Sony, but I have found a software called OSB Studio that I like to try. I have tried register for a trial version of the suggested IBM Streaming Service (USTREAM) for three days now but they wont send any activation mail.

Best Regards,

Richard

Hello @Spendrups.1897,

the camera can't output a video feed via USB.

I too use OBS and from experience I can tell you, that you need to connect your camcorder via a so called "HDMI-Capture-Device".

I personally use the ELGATO-Camlink and can highly recommend it. With it you can use your camcorder as video source for OBS and stream to YouTube, Facebook or Twitch.
