I'm using a Sony VAIO Desktop PCV-RZ30CG for my company office . The client had XP SP2 installed automatically on the computer. It would not boot after that. I attempted to recover the hidden partition, but it did not work. I ordered new discs from Sony, but they didn't work, so I ordered another set, which also didn't work. The disc in question is incompatible with the machine check model. That's what I did, and I'm pretty sure these are the discs.
Any advice would be really helpful.
When you say "ordered the discs" are you referring to the official recovery discs? If so, did you confirm the part number directly from Sony? I'm pretty sure there are nearly 1:1 ratio between the various different models.
Also, where did you order the discs from?
