DSC-W800 - Mac 10.5.8 wont download playmemories??

Hi, I have spent 4hrs trying to sort this problem and need help please. My mac is 10.5.8 so quite old, wouldn't download playmemories. It has iphoto installed, and thought my new camera would just download to this.

I am not terribly tech minded, but try hard to sort it out myself!!

Can anyone here explain simply what I need to do please?

Hi Katie,

You don't have to install Play Memories.

Simply change the USB settings of your camera to PTP/MTP and your Mac will import your pictures automatically.

MENU - (Settings) - (Main Settings) - [USB Connect Setting]

Unfortunately some older versions such as OS X 10.5.8 aren't supported for Playmemories.

Only versions OS X 10.7-10.10 are.

Hi, thanks for advice. I followed guidance re camera settings, and connected usb, it doesn't do anything? No pics imported? Its driving me crazy! Got the camera to take wildlife pics, to relax. So frustrated I can't figure it out. The iphoto app seems to have disappeared too any other suggestions?
