RX10M3 and Sony Flash Compatability

I have just purchased a DSC - RX10M3.

I also have an old Sony FLash HVL-F42AM. Can anyone tell me if they are compatable?

I assume I will not get full functionality as the age of the 2 products differ by many years but just want to know if the hotshoe will not get damaged on either product.

Hi @pelongl89 and welcome to the Community

I believe you can use that flash with the RX however you will need a shoe adaptor.

Have a look at This chart that shows the functions available with that flash.
